Safety Requirements & Lab Monitoring
Safe hormone therapy requires periodic monitoring. Lab frequency depends on your treatment plan, medical history, and how long you have been on therapy.
Some plans require more frequent follow-up during the first 3–6 months.
- Baseline labs prior to starting or resuming therapy (when indicated)
- Follow-up labs often every 3 months early in treatment, then individualized thereafter
- Additional labs and/or vitals as clinically indicated
- Medication adjustments based on results, goals, and safety considerations
If you appear medically unstable, require urgent evaluation, or have symptoms not appropriate for telehealth, your visit may be redirected to in-person care.
